Hundreds of millions of people have heard Marcus Lovett's voice as the voice of GMA, This Week with George Stephanoplous, The Olympics, The Oscar's Red Carpet, PBS, and The Later Show with David Letterman. As an actor and singer he has played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and in the West End, where he also played The Man in Whistle Down The Wind. On Broadway, Marcus has also appeared in the original Les Mis, as Alex Gillingham in Aspects of Love, and as Billy Bigelow in Carousel. Marcus came out of the vocal booth and into the light, singing from his career, and from the jobs that got away, in his Feinstein's/54 Below solo debut. but not his cabaret, in the early 90's appeared at Eight Eight's and Don't Tell Mama.
Marcus also saved the day when the star and understudy in Lincoln Center's Carousel both Michael Hayden, both got ill rather than cancel all performances was able to get Marcus Lovett who had done the show recently in stock, (he was doing Phantom of the Opera at the time, to learn all the moves etc in this production and go on in two days.
He performed to a sold out audience June 28th, 2017.
