On Monday night, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer/actress Linda Purl, who teamed with female jazz orchestra DIVA in a new show called "Singing the Great Ladies of the Glamorous Nightclub Era."
Linda Purl and DIVA, under the Musical Direction of Tedd Firth, saluted the great women singing stars of the 1940s and '50s-from Ella Fitzgerald to Judy Garland to Rosemary Clooney. The concert included sultry ballads and hot Latin jazz arrangements of standards like "S'Wonderful," "It's Alright With Me" and "Caravan." Linda's very special guest was Broadway and television singer/actor Tom Wopat.
