This month's "Frank & Friends," a regular feature with the Broadway at Birdland concert series, brought Broadway/pop songwriter Frank Wildhorn back to the stage with jazz superstar Jane Monheit and Las Vegas/Café Carlyle headliner Clint Holmes – and a better musical threesome would be hard to find. Between Jane's emotional and pitch-perfect performances, Clint's pure showbiz savvy, and Frank's behind-the-scenes stories, memorable songs, and swingin' piano, the sold-out house (which included Broadway/pop/cabaret heavy-hitters Christopher Cross, Lorna Luft, Scott Nevins, LaChanze, Elizabeth A. Davis, Brenda Braxton, Ashley Brown, Ryan Silverman, and Natalie Douglas) was in musical heaven.The next "Frank & Friends" will be a two-night, holiday star-studded extravaganza.
