Last week, twenty of the brightest talents on Broadway were featured in Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. This July, producer Corey Mach (Godspell, Wicked) and music director Joshua Stephen Kartes will present an encore performance of Broadway Sings Bruno Mars at the Highline Ballroom. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and P!NK.
Performers included Tony Winner Lena Hall (Hedwig, Kinky Boots), Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots), Gerard Canonico (American Idiot, Spring Awakening), Allison Case (Hands on a Hardbody, Hair), Max Chernin (Brooklynite), Corey Cott (Gigi, Newsies), Ariana DeBose (Pippin, Bring It On the Musical), Alison Luff (Matilda the Musical, Mamma Mia!), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Godspell), Abby Mueller (Kinky Boots), Gabrielle Reid (Beautiful, Hairspray), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!), Joey Taranto (Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages), Marisha Wallace (Aladdin, Something Rotten), Michael Wartella (Wicked), Alan Wiggins (Beautiful, The Lion King), Devon Lavinia Yates, and Jared Zirilli (Lysistrata Jones).
