If you have the Holiday Blues try visiting Steve Tyrell and not your Psychiatrist.

For the same money you can enjoy an evening in the legendary Cafe' Carlyle, dine, and hear the "Voice of The Carlyle" , Grammy Award-winner Steve Tyrell. You will not be on a couch talking to a scholarly looking person trying to be happy. Instead, you will be a few feet away from the suave, handsome maestro of popular music.

I see it happen every time Steve Tyrell takes the stage, or for that matter walk into a room. He creates happiness with his presence, and every song he sings with that unmistakable Tyrell sound gets an audience musically euphoric.

The great entertainers are the ones that you can say about -"they broke the mold when they" etc etc. Steve is that kind of singer. He has the history of popular music flowing through his body and is able to create a fabulous evening of music trough his songs and personal anecdotes.

This new show titled "That Lovin' Feelin" will make your smile wider and get feet tapping with the lyrics and melodies you have grown up with, and you can also take it home with you because it's Tyrell's 11th studio album.

This was the month that they named some new Living Landmarks in NYC. I'm just thinking that Steve Tyrell with his holiday time appearances at The Carlyle seem to be a good fit for that kind of designation. Steve Tyrell is about the music of yesterday and today. Just ask Today's Al Roker and his wife Deborah Roberts who seemed to be very happy during this show.

Quinn Johnson piano music director, David Finck Bass, Bob Mann guitar, Keven Winard drums, David Mann saxophone, Jon Allen keyboards.
