Shana Farr brought her solo show "In The Still Of The Night" to the Laurie Beechman Theatre last night. Taking the audience on a musical and poetic journey through the words and music of two of the 20th century's greatest and most prolific songwriters and poets - Noel Coward and Cole Porter, it was an evening of wit, flamboyance, chic and cheek, urbanity and elegance!
With both humor and sentiment, Shana Farr brought new interpretations to songs such as "Zigeuner", "Begin The Beguine", "Love For Sale", and "Just One Of Those Things" along with other favorites such as "What Is This Thing Called Love?", "My Heart Belongs To Daddy", "Never Again", "If Love Were All" and more.
Working with award-winning music director, Jon Weber and cellist, Adam Fisher, these great standards were colored with the sounds of jazz and blues. In this new, one-act production, she has created a story not only through lyrics but also through poetry and verse.
Shana Farr has performed in New York City, London, Orlando, St. Louis, and more.
