The Carlyle's legendary Bemelmans Bar has a substantial bench (piano) of talented singer/pianists who have performed for it's prominent clientele. Michael Marci, a Palm Beach Florida import is musically hitting it out of the park on Sundays with his creative piano and vocal stylings and has been attracting a sophisticated and celeb filled audience.
Last night, arguably one of the greatest performers to ever sit at a keyboard and sing came to listen. Michael Feinstein liked what he heard and spontaneously asked Michael Marci to play for him as he surprised the Bemelmans crowd with a few tunes. It was a special New York evening, as some other famous entertainers who happened to be Bemelmans patrons entertained the Carlyle audience. Avery Summers, Sue Matsuki, and Matt Baker also performed for the lucky audience.
