In addition to her hotly anticipated New Year's Eve performances at the Metropolitan Room on December 31, Marilyn Maye extended her popular show with performances on January 4, 5, and 6. "Marilyn By Request," in which Maye and her Billy Stritch-led band created a new show based on audience requests, marks her return to the Metropolitan Room. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the concert last Friday and then again two days later for her master class with the New York Hysterical Society and brings you photo coverage below!
Since she returned to New York in October 2006 after a 15-year absence, Maye has introduced an entirely new generation to a fun-loving performance style that once was the hallmark of large rooms and nightclubs across the country. She has performed 12 Metropolitan Room engagements and three at Feinstein's where she finished her latest run in November.
