The family tradition of electrifying and exciting entertainment is on the stage of 54 Below in the person of Lorna Luft. Judy, Liza, Lorna, all possess that special charisma that makes a performance by any of them a show biz thrill that is hard to duplicate. It's in Lorna's genes and it's obvious she has worked hard and honed her talent to make this show at 54 one of the "events" of the cabaret season.
Even though this is not a husband and wife act, the partnership of husband/pianist/arranger Colin R. Freeman has produced a very superior musical experience. Colin's Jazz infused, theatrical arrangements are superb, and he is remarkably precise as he lays down exceptional harmonies and melodic lines. This is a musical collaboration between Lorna and Colin that was a joy to hear. Entering from the bar area at 54 singing It's "The Most Wonderful Time of The Year" to her "White Christmas" finale it was one of the best Christmas presents one can have.
