Joel Vig starred as Sinthea Starr on Sunday, January 6 at 7PM at the Metropolitan Room. Starr was introduced by theatre legend and two-time Tony-winner, Tammy Grimes.
Sinthea Starr, Vig's creation, is reportedly "a veteran of far too many stage and screen classics to possibly list, she has, for over five decades, been a household name in homes from Manaus to Cooch Beher, Tokyo to Timbuktu. Born the child of semi-deposed Russian royalty, her early training was with a band of traveling Gypsy acrobats and musicians. It was in this troupe that she met the then unknown Yul Brynner, who was to become the first in a long line of rumored paramours including Mike Todd, Mike Wallace, Mike Douglas, Hank Williams, Andy Williams, Tennessee Williams, Aristotle Onassis, Nicky Hilton, Nicky Arnstein, Nicky Haskell, Walter Cronkite, Tallulah Bankhead, Elvis Presley, Warren Beatty, Sigfried and Roy, among others.... Her autobiography, 'Born a Legend,' is now in its 137th printing."
