Entertainment director Rob Russell made sure the always beautiful Royal Room had some extra Botanical additions in honor of Jim & Billy's 4 day engagement in the Royal Room and BroadwayWorld was there.
They are squeezing in a couple of days between their Sunday night residency at Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, Caruso's Cast Party/Broadway at Birdland series, and royally entertaining the Palm Beach crowd until Saturday. What works in New York and the rest of the country works in Palm Beach, and an evening spent with Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch is always a musically exciting, sophisticated, fun filled event. As the duo learned last night, they have fans in Florida, and Jim called up some local celebs in the audience to join in. Deborah Silver, Steve Leeds, Norm Kubrin and Wayne Hosford added to the evenings enjoyment. Some of the best performers on the planet appear at The Colony, and Jim's funny punch line he uses at the end of that statement at Cast Party is not necessary. You'll have to visit Birdland on Monday nights to find out what that means.
