Last night, Friday, November 9th, was beginning of a special engagement of
Giselle Wolf Journeys: A Celebration at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, NYC. The three performances are at 7:00 pm and they continue next Wednesday, November 14th; and Thursday, November 15th. The musical direction and arrangements for the trio are by
Ron Abel, and it is directed and developed with

Giselle Wolf’s performance of soulful singing and humorous life stories reveal that joy that draws one into an enchanting, witty and touching musical celebration. The versatile show includes songs from
Leonard Bernstein, Jones & Schmidt,
Jule Styne, Comden & Green and
Lionel Bart as well as songs in French, Spanish, Italian and Yiddish.
When Giselle was 19 she was accepted at the Drama Studio London and moved to the UK to pursue her love of British theatre. Her first role was in the West end musical “Bar Mitzvah Boy” by
Jule Styne and
Jack Rosenthal at the historic Her Majesty’s Theatre. Since then, Giselle has continued to play leading and principal roles in television and theatre. These include: Leah in “The Dybbuk”; Bianca in “Women Beware Women”; “Nancy Astor”; “2 Point 4 Children” and “Too Much Sun” all for the BBC and Gabrielle in the series “Bognor” for Thames Television. Some of the leading theatre roles include;
Jean Cocteau’s one woman play “The Human Voice”; Emily in “Anatol”; Marguerite in “A Cuckoo in the Nest”; Joanne in “Company”; Louise in “Gypsy”; multicast in “Oh What a Lovely War”; Molly Grant in “One Touch of Venus”; Dolly in “The Angel” and her one-woman show – “Voices from the Heart”. In California, Giselle has recently played the title roles in “Molly” by
Simon Gray and “Celedine” by
Charles Evered.
Her cabaret appearances have been at the prestigious Pizza on the Park in London and Langan’s Brasserie. In Los Angeles she has appeared at The Gardenia and has had several guest appearances with
Ron Abel at Birdland (NYC). Giselle has performed her cabaret show at the Rubicon Inter
National Theatre Festival and the California Inter
National Theatre Festival.
