The Friars were laughing and crying out loud last night as they saluted Melissa Manchester.
There are many great nights at the Friars Club, but as Master of Ceremonies Stewie Stone noted at the end of the evening, "this had to be one of the best". Some of Melissa's friends, who also happen to be some of the entertainment worlds most talented individuals came out to perform for her and the Friars. Lee Roy Reams, Karen Mason, Tom Cotter, Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway and Robert Klein all performed magnificently as they showed their respect and love for this great singer songwriter. A surprise visit by Elton John and Barbra Streisand (in the person of The Edwards Twins) also happened.
The evening was produced by Alison Chaplin and Fran Zigman along with Co-Producers, Howard Rapp and Lou Zigman.
