Beginning June 25th and playing three shows through July 2nd, Christine Pedi brought her evening of diva impersonation and celebration, "Great Dames," to the Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22nd St.).
"The long time Forbidden Broadway diva (recently in Talk Radio on Broadway) conjures up the spirits of the great ladies of the stage, screen and beyond," stated press notes. Pedi, recieved a Drama Desk nomination for her her work in the long running Forbidden Broadway (NYC, L.A., & Londons West End). She played Mrs. Bobby Baccala on "The Sopranos," while other Broadway credits include Little Me. Off-Broadway credits include many editions of Forbidden Broadway, The A Train Plays, The 24 Hour Plays, A Broadway Diva Christmas, and Dallliance in Vienna. She can be heard on Sirius Radio's "Broadway's Best," playing show tunes and interviewing theatre legends. Some of the more interesting venues she's performed in include The Palace Theatre, Avery Fisher Hall, The Queen Mary II, and a wide variety of basement performance spaces both here and abroad.
