The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel welcomes one of the finest and most noted cabaret stars, Andrea Marcovicci, in her long-awaited Café Carlyle debut. Ms. Marcovicci's four week engagement at the Carlyle's iconic venue runs through October 27th. Check out photos from the concert below!
"SMILE" was greeted with rave reviews during its national tour in preparation for the show's east coast premiere at the Café Carlyle. She will be joined by her longtime musical director Shelly Markham on piano, Jered Egan on bass, and Jack Cavari on guitar.
"SMILE" has been released on CD by Andreasong Recordings, Inc. and will be available at the Café Carlyle. Beloved songs featured in the show: "You Make Me Feel So Young", "Life is Just Bowl of Cherries", "Ain't We Got Fun", "It Had to be You", and "It's Only a Paper Moon." Also included, Ms. Marcovicci's passionate version of Pink's pop hit, "Glitter in the Air".
For 25 years, Ms. Marcovicci has been a cabaret institution, residing annually at The Algonquin Hotel's legendary Oak Room until its closing this year. She holds the record for her 25 years and 16 week run at The Algonquin.

Andrea Marcovicci continues to entertain sold-out audiences from coast to coast whenever touring her numerous critically acclaimed shows which include the ever popular Marcovicci Sings Movies II, and Andrea's most requested show, I'll Be Seeing You… Love Songs of WWII; the delightfully entertaining songbook evenings featuring the music of Frank Loesser, Rodgers & Hart, and Johnny Mercer; as well Andrea's tribute to her favorite movie star Fred Astaire; Blue Champagne: The History of the Torch Song, and No Strings, a journey about life on the road.
Andrea has created over thirty nightclub acts, has sold out Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center, the LICEU Opera House in Barcelona, and appeared in concert with numerous orchestras and at the White House. She has acted in films, television and theatre, both regionally and on Broadway. Her co-stars have included Danny DeVito, Woody Allen, Sir Michael Caine, Sir John Gielgud, and Sam Waterston, among others.
2011 marked an unprecedented twenty-five years at the legendary Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel – the record for the most seasons ever played at the club and the final performer ever to perform there! In June Andrea celebrated Cole Porter's birthday with Jeff Harnar in concert at Town Hall and twice conducted Master Classes in the Art of Cabaret in NYC. Prior to that Andrea returned to London's Pizza-on-the-Park with Skylark: Marcovicci Sings Mercer, which was commissioned by the Savannah Music Festival for the centennial celebration of their native son – lyricist Johnny Mercer. Andrea played the title role of Coco for the York Theatre the previous year, and appeared on General Hospital. In addition, Andrea's last film, Driving By Braille, is currently making the Film Festival rounds.
