FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Philip Jackson Smith in A Memoir in Modern Dance on November 6th, 2018 at 9:30pm. Son of a venerated insurance salesman, Philip Jackson Smith is beyond thrilled to announce his return to Feinstein's/54 Below in Philip Jackson Smith: A Memoir in Modern Dance, his debut solo show. You may know him from Amazon's "Mozart in the Jungle" or The Joe Iconis Christmas Extravaganza at Feinstein's/54 Below. Featuring music from the 80s, 90s, and today, come watch Philip slip and slide around the stage with the grace and dexterity of a young Paul Giamatti. Join him on his quest to prove that Philip Jackson Smith: A Memoir in Modern Dance is surely deserving of a MAC award. Or at least a nomination.

Joining Philip onstage are Ally Bonino (Dogfight, Merrily We Roll Along, Spelling Bee), Gerard Canonico (Be More Chill, Groundhog Day, American Idiot), Seth Eliser (Weston Playhouse's Once), Kelly McIntyre (A Night With Janice Joplin), Mike Rosengarten (The Playbillies, Be More Chill, "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel"), George Salazar (Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief, tick, tick... BOOM), Jordan Stanley (The Lightning Thief), Cori Stolbun, and Natalie Walker (Search Party, Vulture, Puffs). The evening is directed by Lauren Marcus (Be More Chill, Barrington Stage's Company, St. Louis Rep's The Humans), musically directed by Emily Marshall (Be More Chill), and produced by Cori Stolbun (Be More Chill).

Philip Jackson Smith in A Memoir in Modern Dance plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on November 6th, 2018 at 9:30pm. There is a $25-$35 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.

MORE ABOUT Philip Jackson Smith

Philip hails from a small town on the border of Connecticut and Massachusetts, most notable for it's proximity to Bradley International Airport. As a child, he was aimless and full of malaise until a crush on a girl led him to audition for a youth production of Grease (the movie version). Playing Danny Zuko that summer gave Philip the first dose of what would become his lifelong drug: applause. Whether it be on a stage or in a bank, all he is thinking about is applause. If you see him on the street, nothing will make Philip happier than if you just start clapping. He's also been on your TV, most memorably in the first two seasons of Amazon's "Mozart in the Jungle" as the bearded and befuddled assistant, Mike. He'd love to be on your stage, which is sort of the whole point of this show. You may, however, know him from his performances with Joe Iconis & Family, in which he is a loving but newly claimed cousin. His dog, Bark Wahlberg, deserves all the credit, not his family or his wonderful partner Cori.
