NAMT SONGWRITER SPOTLIGHT, March 30 at 7PM:

This spring, NAMT will turn the spotlight on four more of its songwriting alumni: Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days; Bernice Bobs Her Hair; String; Ebb, Kleban, Loewe and Rodgers Awards), Michael Kooman & Chris Dimond (Dani Girl, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, Fred Ebb Award) and Alan Schmuckler (How Can You Run With a Shell On Your Back?). They will share songs from their NAMT Festival shows and new projects they are working on, all sung by some of their Broadway pals. Join us on March 30th at 7pm to hear what is new and what is next in musical theatre! It's a way of life. 54 Sings invites you to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Chess, one of musical theatre's most-loved scores and the source of fascinating history and debate. A cast of Broadway and cabaret's top vocalists backed by the Broadway by the Year chorus pay tribute to "Nobody's Side," "One Night in Bangkok," "Pity the Child," "I Know Him So Well," and more in this celebration of one of Broadway's most popular cult musicals of all time.

Jacqueline Petroccia (Lincoln Center's Carousel and Sweeney Todd) takes you on a musical journey from Jersey girl to her surprise turn as the award-winning star of Always...Patsy Cline. Petroccia has starred as Patsy in SIX successful productions of Always... Patsy Cline across the U.S., earning the Connecticut Critics Circle Award and the St. Louis BroadwayWorld Award. Her resume runs the gamut of musical genres from traditional musical theatre (The Producers) to opera (The Magic Flute), contemporary new works (Mob Wife) and everything in between. Sean Matthew Whiteford (Rock of Ages, Rock N Roll Debauchery) presents a concert version of his 80s pop-rock horror romantic musical comedy, Girlfriend From Hell. Inspired by the 1989 B-movie of the same title, Girlfriend From Hell tells the story of four-eyed wallflower, Maggie Miller, who longs for acceptance and romance. After being pushed over the edge by the most popular kids at school, Maggie cries to the heavens for help. But it's Satan who hears her cry. He convinces her to sell her soul, and he transforms her into a big-haired, high-heeled, foul mouthed, rock singing sex bomb who's hungry for revenge. BROADWAY LOVES SAM SMITH, April 5 at 7PM & 9:30PM:

On April 5th, twelve of Broadway's most distinctive vocalists will celebrate four-time Grammy award winner Sam Smith at 54 Below in a concert of his signature songs of heartbreak, loss, and hope in Broadway Loves Sam Smith. At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, Smith took home the coveted trophies for Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for his breakthrough single "Stay With Me," and Best Pop Vocal Album for his platinum-selling debut, "In The Lonely Hour." The 22-year-old British songwriter describes his album as his "way of defining 'what is love,' and how unrequited love is just as painful, just as powerful, as what we call 'normal' love." The star-studded cast of Broadway Loves Sam Smith will bring this emotional truth to the stage with the hit singles "Stay With Me," "Latch," "I'm Not The Only One," "Lay Me Down," and more fan favorites in an unforgettable evening of song.
