The coffeehouse meets the cabaret as "Poetry/Cabaret" (Time Out NY-recommended) returns after a hit first season at The Green Room 42, to once again bring together poets and performers in an evening of stimulating variations on a theme. Season two opens with "Poetry/Cabaret: RECLAIMED!" as curator and host Thomas March (Aftermath) and the cast reclaim their time, themselves, their sense, and their sanity-or rediscover what's been there all along. In addition to comedy from Thomas March, the show will feature poetry from Darrel Alejandro Holnes, Matthew Mendoza, and a surprise guest; comedy from Shalewa Sharpe and James Tison; and music from Molly Pope and Lyra Vega, who will also be on the keys this evening. As always, this fast-paced, multi-genre variety show will keep the audience on its toes-get ready for a heartbreaking and hilarious evening of emotional whiplash! Special Note: This installment of "Poetry/Cabaret" will also benefit from a special collaboration with PEN America and The St. Marks Poetry Project, featuring work by a currently incarcerated poet.
