On The Spot, an "always new" musical comedy show, returns Sunday January 6th, 2019 at THE GREEN ROOM 42 at 7PM. Running Off-Broadway every week since 2015, the show is thrilled to be back at New York's most exciting new performance destination, for a special fundraiser show for the ACLU.
The show works like this: Singers bring their favorite songs to the stage, while the improvisers are kept in the dark of their song choices. They then have to create the book to a new musical... "On The Spot". Featuring a cast of top-notch New York improvisers and Broadway's best singers, the show creates a brand new musical each and every performance. Audiences will never see the same show twice!
All profits from the show will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union. On The Spot has done similar fundraisers before to resounding success, and this is by far the most star-studded fundraiser they have done yet.
The January performance at THE GREEN ROOM 42 will feature (among others) Kerstin Anderson (My Fair Lady, Sound Of Music), Ryan VanDenBoom (Something Rotten, Bandstand), Marty Thomas (Xanadu, Wicked)
This performance of On The Spot is directed by Patrick Reidy with musical direction by Andrew Whitbeck. Technical Supervisor: Diego Velasquez. Produced by Nathan Armstrong.
On The Spot performs at THE GREEN ROOM 42 (570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street, on the 4th Floor of Yotel) on Sunday January 6th, 2018. Cover charge for the performance is $20-50. There is no food or drink minimum at the venue. For tickets, please visit www.TheGreenRoom42.com.
