FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post will continue its 10th Anniversary with Broadway star, Norm Lewis on Monday, June 1. As part of "The Actors Fund Broadway Series" Mr. Lewis will be singing from his debut CD, This is the Life. The album was declared "Grammy worthy" by the New York Daily News and features a mixture of contemporary songs and Broadway classics from David Friedman's "We Live on Borrowed Time" and the Alan Menken's "Go the Distance" to a swinging rendition of Jerry Herman's "Before the Parade Passes By" and the My Fair Lady classic "Wouldn't It Be Loverly."
The show will also feature some new songs and a couple of surprises. "I love The Actors Fund," says Lewis, "Their services are so important to all of us in this business; I'll do anything I can to help out." All admission proceeds will go directly to the assistance of professionals in performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition.
Norm Lewis is currently playing King Triton in Disney's The Little Mermaid at The Lunt-Fontanne Theater on Broadway. His other Broadway credits include the roles of Javert in Les Miserables, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Painter in Amour, Eddie in Michael John LaChuisa's The Wild Party, Jake in Side Show , John in Miss Saigon and The Specialist in The Who's Tommy. He has also appeared in Actors Fund concerts of Dreamgirls, Chess, and Hair. He recently released his debut CD This Is The Life.
FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present Norm Lewis with "THE ACTORS FUND BROADWAY SERIES" on Monday, June 1. The show begins at 8:30 PM. There will be a $40 cover with special $60 premium seats available, in addition to a $25.00 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required.
