Nikki MacCallum is returning to The Duplex with her third solo cabaret, "How to Stay Single in Life Without Really Trying." The show is a guide to staying single, which can be quite an achievement in a world where it's sometimes easier to settle down with the wrong person!

MacCallum received MAC Award nominations for both of her previous cabarets, "Familiar Things" and "Matchmaker Matchmaker I'm Willing to Settle!" the latter of which was written into an original musical that premiered at the A.R.T.'s second stage, OBERON. As a solo artist she's appeared at 54 Below, Lincoln Center and at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. She's also been featured on VH1 and in various theatrical productions around the country. In December 2013 she performed as a soloist at Birdland along side Tony Award winners Donna McKechnie and Jerry Mitchell in the concert series, "In Good Company." She also attended The Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Conference and performed under the direction of John McDaniel.

MacCallum will be joined on stage and at the piano by Musical Director and Arranger Tracy Stark, who has won eight MAC Awards for her work as a Music Director, entertainer, and composer. She's conducted and played on numerous television shows including "The Today Show." "How to Stay Single in Life Without Really Trying," will be directed by Kelvin Moon Loh who is currently appearing on Broadway in "The King and I." This show marks MacCallum and Moon Loh's third cabaret collaboration. The piece includes additional material written by Eric Kornfeld who has written for Bette Middler, Betty Buckley and also had work featured on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," "The Caroline Rhea Show" and on Comedy Central. Music selections will include original work by Joel Waggoner, Brandon James Gwinn, and Thomson & Mann.
