Incomparable vocalist Nicole Vanessa Ortiz will make her Feinstein's/54 Below solo debut in Becoming Her: A Diva's Tribute, on Thursday, March 7 at 9:30pm. Becoming Her: A Diva's Tribute is a celebration of women in music whose iconic anthems have shaped the way we experience love, heartache, and triumph. In this intimate evening, Ortiz will perform songs that have shaped and influenced her music and theater career, as well as favorites from chart-topping divas like Big Mama Thornton, Pat Benetar, Selena, and other groundbreaking women who have inspired her.

The show's creative team includes a remarkable collection of musicians and artists including: award-winning theater and film actress Suzzanne Douglas as her artistic mentor, creative director Allison Mosier Sheff (Smokey Joe's Café), musical director and pianist Eugene Gwozdz (Jerome Robbins' Broadway), assistant musical director and keyboardist Richard Baskin (Ricky B. & the Soul Patrol Live), drummer Eric Brown (Smokey Joe's Café), guitarist Bosco Sheff (Patrolled by Radar), bassist Shakespeare Lindor, and background singers Nya Trysha (Motown The Musical), and Morgan Reilly (singer/songwriter).

Nicole Vanessa Ortiz made her debut as the leading lady in the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway parody, Spamilton, in 2017. The following year Ortiz joined the revival cast of Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller where she was a breakout star. Today she stands as the winner of the "Wendy Williams Show" Wendy's Next Great Voice, an "Amateur Night at the Apollo" Super Top Dog finalist, and winner of "Amateur Night Goes to London." The New Jersey native is a graduate of Arts High School of Performing Arts in Newark, NJ.
