It's always exciting when talented young singers make their debuts at a well known New York City cabaret venue, and this coming weekend, on Sunday and Monday, August 16 and 17, at 7 PM each evening, 22 year old Nicole Coffaro, a recent graduate of Chapman University in Orange, CA, will be doing just that! Her show, simply titled "Nicole Coffaro at Don't Tell Mama," will feature Drew Wutke on piano and will reflect her eclectic tastes in music.

A native of Fullerton, CA, Nicole is a vivacious, strong, passionate singer and actress who was born to sing, and discovered her love of musical theatre at a young age. In May of this year, she graduated from Chapman University in Orange, CA, with her BFA in Theatre Performance as well as a

Music Minor in Vocal Performance and she moved to New York a week later. Her interest as a performer lies in walking the line between classical music and musical theatre, especially when there's opportunity to refresh and reinvent poignant work in a way that will move her audiences.

Next weekend at Don't Tell Mama she'll be performing an eclectic blend of classic and contemporary musical theatre, jazz, and classical music; all styles that she loves to sing. She is thrilled to be presenting works by George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Leonard Bernstein and Kurt Weill, as well as incorporating new composers like Dave Malloy into the mix, all while celebrating her love of music, her culture, and the thrill of moving to New York City.

Since arriving in New York City, Nicole has found an apartment, landed a job as a server at Sardi's in the theater district and was booked into one of New York City's iconic cabaret venues for a two night booking. "So far the Big Apple has been very kind to me," she says.

There is a two drink minimum and no cover charge for Nicole's performance at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street, on Restaurant Row in midtown Manhattan. However reservations are strongly recommended by calling 212-757-0788 or visiting www.donttellmamanyc.com and finding Nicole Coffaro's name on the show calendar.
