Nicolas King and Hilary Kole Play the Iridium Tonight

ScoBar Entertainment presents Nicolas King with special guest Hilary Kole, for one performance only, tonight, May 7, 2013 at 8pmat The Iridium. He will be accompanied by the Mike Renzi Trio, with Musical Director Mike Renzi on piano, Gary Haase on bass & Ray Marchica on drums.

King has been performing since the age of 4. He appeared on Broadway in Beauty & the Beast, A Thousand Clowns opposite Tom Selleck & Hollywood Arms, directed by Hal Prince, all before the age of 13. He has performed on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, "The View," "The Today Show," "Liza & David," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2006 tour with Liza Minnelli, the Mabel Mercer Foundation Cabaret Convention (2010 & 2011) & in over a dozen national TV commercials. The winner of the 2010 "Julie Wilson Award," Nicolas performs throughout the US. His album, Nineteen, is available on iTunes.

Hilary Kole has recorded & concertized with music legends Oscar Peterson, David Brubeck & Michel Legrand & has recorded with Hank Jones, John Pizzarelli & Freddy Cole, among others. She began her professional career at the legendary Rainbow Room as the youngest singer ever to headline & was their lead singer for two years. From there, she performed at the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, Lincoln Center as part of the "American Songbook Series," Carnegie Hall in a Tribute to Oscar Peterson, The Town Hall, The Carlyle, The Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, 54 Below, Zankel Hall & the 92nd Street Y. Hilary headlines throughout the world at major European music festivals, jazz clubs & performing arts centers. Her debut recording, Haunted Heart won the Gold Disc Award in Japan & received 4 stars in Downbeat Magazine. Her newest recording, an unprecedented compilation of piano and vocal duets with the world's greatest pianists entitled You Are There, was a USA Today "Pick of the Week" & "Best Album of the Year," in addition to winning the Bistro Award for Recording of the Year. Hilary also co-wrote, arranged & starred in the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway revues Our Sinatra and Singing Astaire, both of which ran for multiple years in New York & on national tours.
