Nicky Ciampoli makes his Feinstein's/54 Below debut in Nicky as Carol Channing. Vaudeville is back with Nicky recreating moments from Carol Channing's career from Broadway to Nashville to television and movies.
Featuring music from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Show Girl, Hello, Dolly!, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and other familiar hits. Nicky creates a nostalgic evening through the performances and personal quirks of one of Broadway's brightest lights. Expect an evening of pure enjoyment for all ages. Nicky from Southern California has always been active in music and theater since grade school. During those years in high school, Nicky participated in numerous theatrical presentations. By the time graduation, Nicky was a proficient pianist and had developed several routines, including one where Nicky imitated Liberace. Largely because of Nicky's work in theater and musical comedy, it was inevitable that Nicky soon immerse himself into the arts community. Nicky as become well known for the spot -on impersonation of Broadway legend Carol Channing. Of all the entertainers in the nation performing as Ms. Channing, Nicky had a head start in adopting her persona and knowing her mannerisms. For serval years, Nicky was Ms. Channing's personal assistant. In addition to the uncanny capturing of Ms. Channing's likeness, the most amazing aspect of Nicky's Channing shows is that Nicky actually sings live; no lip-synching in any of the Performances.
Additionally, Nicky has used shows as Channing to attract audiences too many charity events and worthy causes in Palm Springs and other areas nationwide. Among the groups that have benefited from Nicky's
time and efforts are: Desert AIDS Project, La Quinta Hearts for the Arts, Angel View, Toy for Tots and many more Charites. Nicky has actively participated in the Harvey Milk Foundations many projects.
Nicky has co-produced and put together a large fundraiser event for the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
Nicky has performed as Carol Channing for audiences nationwide, and has worked with such celebrities as:
Carol Channing herself, Toured with Country legend, Mickey Gilley, Thea Gill from Queer as Folk, Lucie Arnaz, Ann Walker, Kaye Ballard, Debbie Reynolds, Ralna English from the Lawrence Welk Show to name a few. It's so nice to have Nicky bring the feeling of "Carol" back where "SHE" belongs.
