Featuring seminal hits like "Round Here" and "Mr. Jones," August and Everything After is the first commercially-released album of the American rock band Counting Crows. Dothee says, "Single handedly, this album is the reason I fell in love with music. It turns out, I am not the only one. I have had many conversations with dozens of talented artists and musicians who not only cherish these songs, but have been inspired by the story that this album tells. Led by the amazing Carl Andress, I feel humbled to get to sing these songs with this incredible band."
Like the Counting Crows, Nick originally hails from the Bay Area in California. He is an accomplished actor, singer and songwriter. After graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts, he has been a featured artist at Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and The Duplex, among others. Last year, he was a featured soloist at a concert at the American Embassy in Vienna (conductor John Mauceri), and played Tony in West Side Story at the West Virginia Public Theatre. His newest single "Spoke Too Late" will be released on ITunes this summer. His album, My Own Devices, will be released spring 2010.
Counting Crows is one of those bands you follow for the long haul. For those that first heard them opening for Bob Dylan long ago, or subbing for Van Morrison one memorable night at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, much of the soundtrack of our times comes from the Crows -- from their vivid musical landscapes as well as the feverish brilliance of singer/songwriter Adam Duritz. Counting Crows hail from the San Francisco Bay area and consist of Adam Duritz (vocals), David Bryson (guitar), Charles Gillingham (keyboards), David Immergluck (guitar), Dan Vickrey (guitar), Jim Bogios (drums), and Millard Powers (bass).
