54 Below presents the New York premiere of Finding Nick, a new play written and performed by Nicholas Guest, and originally directed by Lee Sankowich at L.A.'s Zephyr Theater, in a two-night only engagement, September 11th & 12th at 9:30pm.
"Nicholas Guest is a wonderfully charismatic performer, and when he sings, the stage virtually lights up!" -Stage and Cinema
In bringing his critically-acclaimed show Finding Nick to 54 Below for its NYC premiere, actor Nicholas Guest (National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Long Riders, Trading Places, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Frozen, and Tangled) explores his youthful search for an identity through live music, poetry and multiple personalities. Musicians Joe Carroll (guitar), Brandon Ellis (cello), and Elizabeth Guest (additional vocals) accompany Nicholas.
The son of an English diplomat stationed at the U.N., Nicholas finds that during 1967's "Summer of Love" just as he is choosing a college, his family has been reassigned to Geneva, Switzerland, causing him to begin a journey abroad to find the person he is yet to be. Experience a concert evening populated by over 20 entertaining characters of all nationalities and genders that he encountered along his way, popular songs (in both English and French) from that period, and alarmingly humorous situations! The veteran actor, already known for his outstanding characterizations on film and TV, as well as brilliant vocal work for both the large and small screens will surprise New York audiences with his versatility and voice in this comedic concert detailing his very personal journey to self-discovery.
Cover Charge is $30 & $40 with Premium seats at $70 (with $5 additional charge at the door).
