NO MALARKEY! a new solo show by Joanna Rush, directed by Lynne Taylor- Corbett will debut at NY's Don't Tell Mama on Thursday, March 16 at 7 PM.

Joanna Rush is Joe Biden's karmic twin and proud of it. Not only do they have the same astrological sign, but their careers are parallel-well, maybe there are a few exceptions. Ex-Rockette, Joanna Rush still does huge fan kicks and Joe did recently fall off his bike, but what they share are tumultuous Catholic upbringings, near death experiences, and a "no malarky" approach to life and the Supreme Court.

Joanna Rush, (writer and performer) began her career as a Radio City Rockette. She performed in musicals on and off-Broadway including Shirley MacLaine at the Palace, and A Chorus Line at the Shubert Theater. Subsequently, she moved to L.A. and developed her acting career on stage and screen. On her 40th birthday, over lunch, her agent fired her for being too old. She figured she would have to write her own roles. Her play, KICK earned an Off Broadway Alliance (OBA) Nomination for best performance in a solo play. She was invited to perform for the "International Women's Day" co-sponsored by the UN Council on the Empowerment of Women and for The Hunger Project.

Other of her plays include Home Sweet Homeland, Accidental Mummies and Sex and Power. She co-wrote the screenplay for America's Queen, Irish Whiskey which won "Best Screenplay" at the Temecula Valley Film Festival. Recently, Joanna was invited to a Bay Area gathering of "Third Act", artists devoted to the urgent necessity to communicate the climate crisis of our planet.

Lynne Taylor-Corbett, (director) received Tony Nominations for best director and best choreographer for Broadway's Swing! Off-Broadway, she received Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel nominations for My Vaudeville Man and Wanda's World. She has choreographed for American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and created the New York City Ballet's Seven Deadly Sins starring Patti LuPone. Her films include Footloose, My Blue Heaven and Bewitched.

Lynne wrote and directed Out of the Shadows, a benefit supporting Meryl Streep's effort to build a National Women's History Museum, and Darlene Love's Love for the Holidays, a Christmas television special. Distant Thunder, written with son, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, recently won 10 Broadway World Awards for its premiere at the First Americans Museum produced by Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma City.

Ms. Taylor-Corbett is on the Council of Advisors for the Association on American Indian Affairs with fellow ally, Gloria Steinem, and is a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers.
