"Family cabaret" is no longer an oxymoron! The Nat and Kat Duo has developed and proudly presents an exciting new cabaret series for the whole family. In this first episode of "Nat & Kat's Adventures with the Time-Traveling Piano", Nat & Kat accidentally transport themselves and their audience to 1939 in the throes of the Great Depression.

To avoid rupturing the space-time continuum to transport themselves and their audience safely back to 2009 , Nat & Kat must perform a show of songs from that era, such as "On the Sunny Side of the Street" and "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?". Nat & Kat's Adventures with the Time-Traveling Piano gives parents the opportunity to expose their young ones (ages 6 and up) to this quintessential New York art form and the incredible music of the Great American Songbook!

Original music and lyrics by Kat Sherrell
Book by Nat Wilson
Songs by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Woody Guthrie and more.

Nat & Kat's Adventures with the Time-Traveling Piano will be performed at Broadway Baby Bistro. Tickets are $25.00 for adults and $15.00 under 18 years of age (includes 2 non-alcoholic beverages). Tickets are available at www.natandkatduo.com

About Nat & Kat Duo: Nat Wilson and Kat Sherrell met at a party in 2007 and bonded over their shared background in classical music, and a mutual love of the Great American Songbook. They decided to collaborate, and made their debut as a cabaret duo at the Broadway Baby Bistro in January 2008 with their cabaret show about women making bold choices: A Touch of Venus: a Cabaret. They have since performed together at such venues as the Duplex, Galapagos Art Space, and the Laurie Beechman Theatre, to name a few. They delighted audiences last October with their both poignant and irreverant political show: Vote with Your Venus: An Election-Season Celebration of Great American Women and the Great American Songbook. In addition to entertaining discerning adults, Nat and Kat have created a cabaret show for children, Nat & Kat's Adventures with the Time-Traveling Piano, which they will unleash upon New York City's youth in May and June of 2009. Stay tuned for more exciting projects as Nat & Kat continue to blur the lines between cabaret and musical theater!

Nat has performed with opera and theater companies on both coasts, including One World Symphony, the Little Opera Theater of New York, Opera San Jose, Berkeley Opera, San Diego Comic Opera, and the Lamb's Players Theater. She has inhabited a diverse range of characters from free-spirited seductresses (the title role in Carmen), to love-sick adolescent boys (Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito, Ramiro in La Finta Giardinera), to melancholy middle-aged actresses (Desiree in A Little Night Music), to the Virgin Mary (in Heav'n and Nature Sing).

Kat has accompanied and music directed cabaret acts at Don't Tell Mama, the Laurie Beechman Theatre, the Metropolitan Room, Emerging Artists Theater, the Duplex, and many other venues in New York City. Last year, Kat played, conducted and provided orchestrations for the award-winning bilingual production of Teatro SEA's La Muela del Rey Farfan for Teatro StageFest. She is currently a sought-after accompanist for rehearsals and performances, and works with such projects as the Striking Viking Story Pirates and the hit Broadway musical In The Heights.
