Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will present the Holiday edition of their monthly Factory Salon, an informal new works open mic night, on Thursday, December 18th, from 8pm to Midnight.
In addition to giving early career musical theatre writers a platform to showcase original holiday-themed songs, the event will also serve as a fundraiser and toy-drive for Toys for Tots, an organization that provides free Christmas gifts to underprivileged children.
Featured hosts include Sam Salmond, Alana Jacoby, and Jenny Stafford, a trio whose Christmas cabaret has become a New York City holiday tradition. Guest performers include Shaina Taub, Bill Nelson, Rob Rokicki, Scotty Arnold, Jason Millsm, Jaclyn Huberman, Hannah Elless, Alyse Alan Louis, Matt Webb, Salomon Lerner, Anna Jacobs, Sam Kusnetz, Alex Sage Oyen and Mark Sonnenblick, Kellen Blair and Joe Kinosian. Writers and composers interested in playing their original holiday tunes should arrive early to sign up for the open mic segments of the evening.
There is a $10 cover charge payable at the door or online at mtf.nyc/events/salon6, in lieu of a cover charge attendees may also bring an unwrapped toy.
