With just under two weeks until the 2nd annual BROADWAY BEE fundraiser (May 8 at NYC's Le Poisson Rouge), will Broadway's next major competition see Team Beautiful "The Carole King Musical" take home the trophy for a second year in a row? Tickets for the public are now on sale HERE.

The Bee is presented by Broadway Bound Kids, an NYC performing arts education organization; adults only spelling bee, featuring cast members from current hit Broadway Shows. All proceeds go to help provide performing arts opportunities for NYC youth.

The original creators of the musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," Rebecca Feldman and Jay Reiss, will host the evening: eleven teams, each representing a Broadway show are in competition to pull out all the stops to correctly spell the words. It's one Broadway show against another and cheating is part of the game .

Broadway cast members participating include Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies); Ben Jeffrey (Lion King); Michael Park (Dear Evan Hansen); Bhavesh Patel (Present Laughter); Geoff Packard (Bandstand); Karl Kenzler (Fiddler on The Roof); Lauryn Ciardullo (Aladdin); Evan Todd (Beautiful); Stephanie Torns (Waitress); Grace McLean (The Great Comet) ; and, Gregory Treco (Hamilton).

"Broadway Bound Kids fosters a level of respect, creativity, and support that's like nothing I've ever seen," says last year's participant Christian Borle.

"Whether you're acting or doing makeup or just part of this community, it gives you a place and it also gives you a purpose," adds BBK supporter John Stamos.

Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock and actor Robert Funaro (The Sopranos; Vinyl) will also be on hand.

CEO Erin Glass adds, "Involvement in the performing arts is life changing! Our proudest accomplishments are seeing our students gain confidence and hearing them say that Broadway Bound Kids helps them forget about their worries and feel good about themselves."

Additionally announced, there will be a VIP cocktail reception prior to the show at Le Poisson Rouge.

Support your favorite show and help the spellers cheat their way to victory! Tickets to the BROADWAY BEE on May 8 are limited but anyone who joins a team and raises $400 will receive a FREE ticket and prime seating! Anyone who donates will get a discount code for tickets.

Since 2004 Broadway Bound Kids has been providing performing arts education opportunities to kids throughout NYC. Broadway Bound Kids provides school based performing arts residencies, community based workshops and summer programs, master classes with Broadway professionals, full scale musical productions, and trips to see Broadway shows. The goal is to ensure that all NYC kids have access to the performing arts regardless of their financial resources. Broadway Bound Kids' programs are designed to inspire and empower young lives through the arts by creating a nurturing and stress-free environment where kids will gain confidence, make friends, express themselves, and find a place where they feel a sense of belonging and acceptance.
