'Monday Night, New Voices' Celebrates 3 Years on Dec.10

On December 10, Broadway Veteran Chip Zien will host "Monday Nights, New Voices" year end wrap up concert with a bevy of stars and New Voice alumni from this past years series.

Joining the 3rd Anniversary Celebration will be Anna Bergman, Lauren Blackman, Randy Blair, Mick Bleyer, Charl Brown, Melanie Burg, Brandi Burkhardt, Brian Crum, Mitch Dean, Lianne Marie Dobbs, Nick Dothee, Morgan Paige Fluss, Lauren Kennedy, Jeff Kready, Josh Lamon, Jessica Lanzetta, Matt Leisy, Samantha Massell, Christy Morton, Patti Murin, Skie Ocasio, Reymundo Santiago, Sara Schmidt, Emily Shoolin, Rena Strober, Nadia Wahhab and Amy Wren.

Zien is perhaps best known for playing the role of the Baker in the original Broadway production of Into the Woods. He has also appeared on Broadway in Falsettos (Mendel), Grand Hotel (Otto Kringelein), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Goran), The Boys from Syracuse (Dromio), The Suicide (Victor Victorovich) and Ride the Winds (Inari). In addition to Falsettos, Zien has also worked with William Finn in A New Brain (Mr. Bungee), Falsettoland (Mendel), March of the Falsettos (Mendel) and In Trousers (Marvin). He was recently seen in the movie United 93 and has appeared on television in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Law & Order," "Now and Again," "Judging Amy" and "thirtysomething."

Past years composers joining the evening celebration include David Kirshenbaum, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Michael Heitzman and Ilene Reid, Tom Kitt, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, Jeff Bowen, Steven Routman and Deborah Abramson

Produced and conceived by composer Scott Alan, the celebration on December 10 will mark three years of honoring and celebrating new work and talent in the theatre industry. Barbara Anselmi will be the evenings Musical Director.
