To celebrate the December release of his first official studio album, "Haunted," on the Miranda Music label, Marcus Simeone returns to The Metropolitan Room and has assembled a powerful set filled with emotional highs and humorous moments in his most risky show to date. He will be appearing on Fridays, October 29 at 7:00 and November 12 at 7:00, Sunday November 21 at 9:30, and Saturdays, December 4 at 9:30 and December 11 at 9:30. The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22 Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues.) There is a $15 music charge and a two beverage minimum. Reservations: (212) 206 0440.

This latest show will add to Marcus's amazing roster of acclaimed performances as he celebrates a decade working in the clubs of New York since his auspicious debut at Don't Tell Mama. He has gone on to win acclaim on the national stage performing in theaters and clubs in Manhattan, Chicago, Florida and Palm Springs as well as performing at the Cabaret Conventions at Town Hall and Jazz At Lincoln Center. Along the way, he has also received nine MAC nominations and won three as well as receiving the coveted Back Stage Bistro Award. This summer, he was invited to sing on a recording with Reba McIntyre in Nashville.

* More recently, he was the grand prize winner in the 2010 Palm Beach Symphony Pop Star Competition and will appear in an exclusive engagement with them. There were over 5300 contestants. After his first song, the audience erupted in wild cheers and gave him a standing ovation.

With this new show, Marcus will bring highlights from his new album ("Haunted") which features many of today's contemporary songwriters accompanying him on their own songs, such as John Bucchino, Tracy Stark, Heather Sullivan, etc., backed by some of today's most acclaimed musicians. The album is scheduled to be released in December with a special event at the last show on December 11.

Having earned his masters at NYU, Mr. Simeone is an MSW social worker by day and a singer by night honing his craft in the clubs of New York. He has worked for extended periods with HIV+ clients as well as abused children, families in crisis and victims of substance abuse. He is an animal rights advocate and is the senior caretaker to his partner, who remains paralyzed after emerging from a coma.

As always, the new show will feature songs associated with and most requested by his many fans - and some special surprises. As respected author/writer/song historian Will Friedwald said in his liner notes on Marcus's first album (At Last/Miranda) -"...his beautiful voice, his extremely wide range, his ability to switch effortlessly from baritone to tenor to falsetto ... and, likewise, his multi-generic ability to move between the worlds of pop, cabaret, theatre music, soul and even jazz ... The crucial factor is always his intimate relationship with the songs he sings. Whatever he sings, he does it with complete sincerity!"
