Respected sports promoter Don Elbaum presents the official Manhattan cabaret debut of singer/songwriter/pianist Mindy Rhodes at Metropolitan Room at Gotham for two special shows, Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2 at 9:30 pm.

Metropolitan Room at Gotham is located at 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues).

There will be a $20 music charge and a two drink minimum.

Ms. Rhodes has been a popular local fixture for many years in Philadelphia piano rooms and clubs where she's built a loyal following of admirers. "Mindy Rhodes is a true artist and incredible songwriter," says musician Glenn Ferracone (former Joe Cocker drummer and founder of The Music Centre, Exton, PA). This promises to be a special engagement by a lady who is just beginning to branch out of Philadelphia to a wider audience. Such is her popularity in Philadelphia that she has attracted a lot of attention in the clubs there. Bruce Donohoe, owner of Vincent's Jazz & Blues Club in West Chester, PA, gushes, "We have the best of the best at Vincent's. When Mindy Rhodes performs at our club, she adds to that success ."

For this engagement, Ms. Rhodes will perform originals, pop, and the Great American Songbook. She will also perform selections from her popular albums, "Whisper Wind" and "Blush."

Renowned boxing promoter Don Elbaum is presenting Ms. Rhodes for this engagement along with television and movie actor Holt McCallany (son of cabaret legend Julie Wilson). Mr. Elbaum, best known as the man who gave Don King his first break, is a former pianist with early roots in the music business.

He has presented Ms. Rhodes at various entertainment and sporting events in and around Philadelphia and New York.
