Michigan Alumni in 'Bravo Blue!' at Symphony Space March 3

On March 3 at 7:30PM the University of Michigan Entertainment Coalition (UMEC) and the U of M Club of New York will present Bravo Blue!  This "Musical Homecoming" Concert will feature over 40 U of M alumni professionals and friends in a fast paced sampler of musical theatre, classical and contemporary music, jazz, opera, and dance. The performance will be held at the Peter Norton Symphony Space, Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway at 95th St at 7:30PM.

Among participating Musical Theatre performers: (subject to change) are: Whitney Bashor (Edges, Whistle Down the Wind, The Fantasticks); Nick Blaemire (Altar Boyz; Glory Days; Cry-Baby); Todd Buonopane (Spelling Bee); Mark Christine (Theatreworks USA: The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe) Janine DiVita (A Tale of Two Cities, The Day Before Spring); Monique French (Edges; Meet John Doe); Liz Griffith; Hannah Ingram; Brian Mazzaferri (2006 BFA & AB) flying in from Chicago for the occasion and Glenn Seven Allen (The Light in the Piazza; 1776; Cabaret; A Fine & Private Place)

Performing songs by: David Kirshenbaum from Vanities; Benj Pasek & Justin Paul from Edges; Robert Rokicki; William Bolcom and featuring a montage preview of Glory Days by Nick Blaemire (music/lyrics) and James Gardiner (book), arranged by Eli Zoller. Glory Days just completed a successful run at the Signature Theatre in Arlington VA.

U of M alums that have become household names include: Diva Jessye Norman; Pianist Barbara Nissman; Stage Director Jack O'Brien; Costume Designer Martin Pakledinaz; Actor Hunter Foster; Composer/Conductor Gary Adler; Actor James Earl Jones; and the late Arthur Miller.
