On April 9th, actor/vocalist dynamic duo Jordan Wolfe and Michelle Dowdy take you on the ultimate sixties rock journey.
1967. It was the greatest year ever for music. They called it the Summer of Love. Now, Jordan and Michelle lovingly recreate the iconic songs that exploded across the airwaves that incredible summer. MAC Award winner Michelle Dowdy (B'way Hairspray) and Jordan Wolfe (TV's Law and Order) pay energetic tribute to The Beatles, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, The Monkees, and more. They rock, they belt, they harmonize, and breathe new life into the songs no one will ever forget.
They are joined by music director Will TN Hall (Joan Rivers, Sharon Needles), who will lead a stellar band featuring guitarist Megan Talay, bassist Steve Marks, and drummer Terrence Bates. Mitchell Walker (AKA Prods., Off-B'way Night of the Living Dead! The Musical!) will direct. The show will feature arrangements by Jordan Wolfe.
Michelle Dowdy is a MAC Award winner and a nightlife favorite who first took New York by storm as Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway production of Hairspray, racking up over 400 performances. She has gone on to play the role internationally and with Dallas Theatre Center. She also co-conceived and starred in the West Coast premiere of the circus/burlesque musical extravaganza The Girlie Show. Her acclaimed debut solo album A Brass Act is available on iTunes.
