Singer Michael Scott Ferris will make his NYC cabaret debut in Yesterdaydream at Don't Tell Mama this evening, April 10th at 7:30 pm. The show, based on Ferris' debut CD, Yesterdaydream is comprised of standards from bygone eras-eras which Michael tells us he has spent a lot of time "yesterdaydreaming" about: "my own made-up word for waxing nostalgic about a time I wish I'd lived in, but never did!" The cabaret, a collaboration with long-time friend and music director Lisa Brigantino, reveals Michael's passion for the songs of the 30's and 40's, as well as for his love of travel...both around the world, and back in time.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from the SUNY College at Fredonia, and has toured extensively through out North America and Europe performing in musicals and entertaining on the High Seas with several cruise lines, for which he created his own original cabaret shows. Yesterdaydream marks Michael's New York City cabaret debut. Music director Lisa Brigantino is a singer-songwriter/composer/multi-instrumentalist known in the NYC cabaret and comedy circuits as "Nickie" from The Vickie & Nickie Show which she performs in along with her sister Lori Brigantino.
