Michael Feinstein And Kelli O'Hara Celebrate NYE At Feinstein's

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post will celebrate a very special New Year's Eve with the club's founder Michael Feinstein and three time Tony-nominated Broadway star KELLI O'HARA. The two star performers will join together for an evening of timeless standards and romantic pop classics. The night will have two shows, at 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM on Saturday, December 31, at the Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Michael Feinstein, the multi-platinum-selling, five-time Grammy-nominated entertainer dubbed "The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook," is considered one of the premier interpreters of American standards. His 200-plus shows a year have included performances at Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House and the Hollywood Bowl as well as the White House and Buckingham Palace. He serves on the Library of Congress' National Recording Preservation Board, which ensures the survival, conservation and increased public availability of America's sound recording heritage.

Feinstein's earned his fifth Grammy Award nomination in 2009 for The Sinatra Project, his Concord Records CD celebrating the music of "Ol' Blue Eyes." A new PBS concert special, The Sinatra Legacy, is currently airing across the country; The Sinatra Project, Volume II: The Good Life, its companion CD, was released in October. Last year's PBS series Michael Feinstein's American Songbook – in which he uncovers treasures of classic American music – is now available on DVD, with an additional disc of bonus features. The series, the recipient of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Television Broadcast Award, will return with six primetime episodes starting in February 2012. Recently, he released the CDs The Power Of Two – collaborating with "Glee" and "30 Rock" star Cheyenne Jackson – and Cheek To Cheek, recorded with Broadway legend Barbara Cook. On his recent recording We Dreamed These Days; Feinstein co-wrote the title song with Dr. Maya Angelou.

Feinstein serves as Artistic Director of the Palladium Center for the Performing Arts, a $170 million, three-theatre venue in Carmel, Indiana that is home to an annual international Great American Arts Festival, diverse live programming and a museum for Feinstein's rare memorabilia and manuscripts. In 2007, he created the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative dedicated to celebrating the art form and preserving its legacy for the next generation through Master Classes, educational programs, and exhibitions. In 2010, he became the director of Jazz and Popular Song at New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center. Feinstein is working with MGM to turn The Thomas Crown Affair into a Broadway musical. He also has designed a new piano for Steinway called "The First Ladies," inspired by the White House piano and signed by several former First Ladies.

KELLI O'HARA has unequivocally established herself as one of Broadway's great leading ladies. This fall, Kelli starred alongside Sam Waterson in The Public Theater's production of King Lear. Following that, Kelli will return to the Broadway stage in the new Gershwin musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It, opposite Matthew Broderick. Kelli starred in the Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center, enrapturing audiences and critics alike with her soulful and complex interpretation of Nellie Forbush, and garnering a third Tony nomination. A native of Oklahoma, Kelli received a degree in opera, and, after winning the State Metropolitan Opera Competition, moved to New York and enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Institute.

She made her Broadway debut in Jekyll & Hyde and followed it with Sondheim's Follies, Sweet Smell of Success opposite John Lithgow, and Dracula. In 2003 Kelli committed to a production of The Light in the Piazza at Seattle's Intiman Theatre. The show landed on Broadway in 2005 and earned Kelli her first Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations. She moved from one huge critical and commercial success to another when she joined Harry Connick on Broadway in the 2006 Tony award-winning production of The Pajama Game, for which Kelli received Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Award nominations. Kelli has worked regionally and Off Broadway in Sunday in the Park with George at Reprise, My Life With Albertine at Playwright's Horizons, Beauty at the La Jolla Playhouse and recently as Ella Peterson in Bells Are Ringing at City Center Encores.

Among her film and television credits are Sex & The City 2, Martin Scorsese's short The Key to Reserva opposite Simon Baker; The Dying Gaul starring Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott; "Blue Bloods" (NBC pilot), "All Rise" (NBC pilot), Alexander Hamilton (Maria Reynolds) starring Brian F. O'Byrne (PBS), "NUMB3RS" (CBS), "All My Children," the upcoming animated series Car Talk, and numerous live performances on national television shows. Kelli's recordings include her solo albums Wonder in the World and Always on Ghostlight Records.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present Michael Feinstein and KELLI O'HARA on Saturday, December 31 for two shows at 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM. For the 7:00 PM show, doors will open at 5:30 PM for dinner and cocktails. This performance has a $175.00 general admission cover, with $250.00 premium seats and $300.00 upfront seats available. For the first show, there is a $40.00 food and beverage minimum per person. For the 10:30 PM show, doors will open at 9:30 PM. This performance has a $350.00 general admission cover, with $495.00 premium seats and $600.00 upfront seats available. The second show prices include a three course dinner and flowing champagne.
