Micah McCain, the hilariously creative mind and talent behind the internet sensation, "Bonjour Girl," a re-imagined and attitude-enhanced performance by Beauty and the Beast's Belle, named one of the top viral videos by Entertainment Weekly, Gawker and VH1, as well as being voted "Immortal" on Funny Or Die, now brings an evening of parodies, parables, and perjuries to The Duplex Cabaret Theatre on October 28th with his one-man show "Hey Gurl!"

McCain, singer, actor, host, comedian, pop culture critic and writer, an AMC Gay Hollywood "break-out personality" fresh from West Coast performances in "[title of show]" and "Caught" (LA Weekly Award Nomination), and direct from his NYIT Award-nominated performance in "The Detour" at The Metropolitan Playhouse NYC, makes his cabaret debut in New York City with "Hey Gurl!"

What's it like to be an internet sensation? How did the parody happen? Why was your childhood so screwed up?

McCain is a "hilarious, laugh-out-loud" (Backstage) and "spot-on" (Broadway World) performer who brings a "brilliant blend of razor-sharp comedy" (Flavorpill LA) to his one man shows including "Dance: 10, Looks: 203lbs" (Post Office Cabaret, P-Town), "Hope, Dating & Other Things I Gave Up For Lent" (Cavern Club Theater, LA), "Unshaven!" (Bailiwick Theatre, Chicago) and "High Hopes In Low Heels" (The Globe Playhouse, LA).

In his new live show "Hey Gurl!" written and performed by McCain with music direction by multiple MAC Award-winner, Mark Hartman, McCain brings a creative one-man show from a performer known for "balancing diva-like comedy with deep sincerity." (LA Weekly).

What was Jackie Warner like? Why didn't Chelsea Handler have you back? What do you love most about New York besides the fact you get to hate tourists?

The California native, born and raised in Los Angeles, and now residing in New York City, has been performing since the age of 9 when the future "ebullient, honest, endearing, hilarious" (Chicago Reader) McCain was a spokesperson for Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles. Besides scene-stealing in film and television - from cult classic "BASEketball" to "Chelsea Lately" - McCain has opened for and performed with Judy Tenuta, Cyndi Lauper, Julie Brown and Jane Wiedlin (to name a few). The seasoned performer has hosted and performed at The Improv, Caesar's Palace, The House Of Blues and multiple appearances at The Hollywood Bowl. His razor-sharp writing and pop culture commentary have been featured nationally in In Touch Magazine, Star Magazine, Life & Style, Cosmopolitan and more.

The show is set for Monday, October 28th at 7pm at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, 61 Christopher Street at 7th Ave. New York, New York. To order tickets visit http://micahmccain.brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $15 in advance. $20 at the door. Plus 2-drink minimum.
