A love song can stamp that moment in time for us. I Believe in Love is a journey of how we have loved, fallen in love, fallen out of love and no matter what else...cherished that love.
Directed by
Lina Koutrakos and with Music Direction by
Rick Jensen, this is an amazing ride.
Dorian Woodruff is a versatile cabaret and jazz singer, director, writer and vocal coach. He has treaded the boards from the East to West Coasts with stops in Las Vegas, Dallas, Nashville and New Orleans. He has been fortunate to perform for audiences in London, Paris, Berlin and down to Rio de Janiero.
In New York, he has appeared at Joe's Pub, 54 Below, Don't Tell Mama,
The Duplex and his successful shows "I Believe in Love" and "Standard Time" at the Metropolitan Room.
His singing career started at a young age with an influence from his maternal grandmother who appeared in revues on the New York stage and taught him to sing great tunes.
Dorian has delighted audiences with his charm, some questionable humor, and an engaging stage presence. He is an intimate performer who thrives on ballads, can swing any tune and is a dedicated follower of the American Songbook.

"I didn't expect to have quite the degree of 'fullness' I felt during the performance. When I say 'fullness' I mean filled with warmth and caring and ...he had a note of wistfulness. Dorian didn't leave an emotional step unturned. He held my attention though every quiet move he made. He had my heart throughout." -
Bobbi Horowitz
"He was born to sing." - Paul Rolnick
