Cabaret sensation Maxine Linehan will perform songs from her latest album, Beautiful Songs, at Broadway's supper club Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street, Cellar) at 9:30 p.m. tonight, October 17. Featuring a variety of music - from standards like "Danny Boy" to original songs, including "I Think Of You," by Andrew Koss, the show encapsulates Linehan's versatility and marks her solo debut at the newly renamed Feinstein's/54 Below. The show is created and directed by Scott Siegel, who also directed Broadway by the Year at The Town Hall and has directed Michael Feinstein.

Linehan's album Beautiful Songs is an exploration of what makes a song not just "pretty," but beautiful. Singing songs from a wide variety of genres from Broadway, folk, pop, and beyond, the critically acclaimed Linehan gives audiences a rare hour filled with beauty created from irresistible melodies, with elegant and incisive lyrics.

Beauty, of course, is in the eyes (and the ears) of the beholder, but the critics have been unanimous in their praise. The New York Times called Linehan "fiercely talented ... she takes favorites that you thought you knew and infuses them with an intensely personal point of view." USA Today wrote, "Linehan lends her warm, throbbing voice to an inspired medley celebrating the kind of romantic love that endures." The Huffington Post called her "a powerful and confident singer," while the Irish Voice concurred, describing Linehan as a "megawatt talent ... She is outstanding ... pitch perfect ...an Irish actress and singer of the first rank."

Tickets for Beautiful Songs range from $30 to $70, and can be purchased at 54Below.com (646.476.3551). Doors open at 8.45 p.m. Please note, there is a $25 food and beverage minimum.

Maxine Linehan has performed at venues as diverse as Ars Nova, Birdland, and The Town Hall. She was acclaimed in her one woman drama, Bronte, starred in the First National Tour of the Lincoln Center production of South Pacific directed by Bartlett Sher, and has recorded three CDs, including the brilliantly reviewed CD version of Beautiful Songs.

Musical direction and orchestrations for the show are by Ryan Shirar. The band includes Ben Lively (violin and mandolin), Mairi Dorman Phaneuf (cello), Justin Vance (clarinet, oboe and flute), and Ryan Shirar (piano).
