About Marquee Five

Tight harmonies, clever arrangements, and an actor's sensibility characterize Marquee Five, the collaboration of Mick Bleyer, Adam West Hemming, Vanessa Parvin, Sierra Rein, and Julie Reyburn - "five very special and incredible voices" (CabaretHotlineOnline.com). Marquee Five brings a spunky, intelligent flair to New York's cabaret world with exciting five-part arrangements running the gamut of the Broadway canon and the American Songbook. Hailed as "a breath of fresh air in the cabaret world" (BroadwayWorld.com) with "superb blend in song" (NiteLifeExchange.com), the group won the 2010 MAC Award (Vocal Group) for their debut show at The Metropolitan Room, "We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander and Ebb." They followed this up in Fall of 2010 at Don't Tell Mama with "8-Track Throwback," a show Cabaret Scenes called "top-notch spectacular." Featuring favorites from Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Leonard Cohen and more, "8-Track Throwback" pays tribute to the singer/songwriters of the 60's and 70's with all new arrangements by Adam West Hemming. The group is currently working on an album recording of this show, and is in developments for a brand new set of work for the Fall of 2011.
