Cabaret's newest rising star, Marissa Mulder, is set to bring her celebrated cabaret act 'ILLUSIONS' to The Triad tonight, June 16th at 7pm, presented by Dan Whitten/Tiger Theatricals. Mulder won the Metropolitan Room's 2011 MetroStar Challenge and grew up in Syracuse, New York and graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2007 where she studied musical theatre.

'ILLUSIONS' explores fantasy, imagination, dreams and reality through song and will feature direction by one of premier interpreters of the Great American Songbook, Nightlife, Bistro, and MAC Award-winner Karen Oberlin. 'ILLUSIONS' will also feature musical direction/piano by MAC Award-winner Bill Zeffiro, Pete Anderson on sax/clarinet/flute and John Loehrke on bass.

"I saw Marissa perform at the Metropolitan Room and knew after 3 songs that I wanted to work with her" says producer Dan Whitten. "She's delighted audiences in the last two Jacques Brel shows and we're very excited about giving new life to Illusions."

The set list for 'ILLUSIONS' includes Old Black Magic, Lorelei, Never Never Land, Nobody's Heart, Both Sides Now, Rainbow Connection, I Loved and Illusions. 'ILLUSIONS' is presented by Dan Whitten/Tiger Theatricals.
