Award winning comedian and juggler Marcus Monroe will bring his one-man show, IAMFAMOUS, to Joe's Pub May 21 at 7:30pm. This revealing and provocative show documents Marcus's real life journey in the pursuit of becoming the world's first famous juggler.

A master of quick wit and dry delivery, Marcus tells the story of how his career as a juggler gained momentum but was abruptly derailed. Desperate to regain his place in the spotlight, Marcus turns to an interactive app to guide him on his quest. From rebranding his image, to death defying stunts, Monroe dutifully complies with the app's absurd challenges all to achieve the next level of celebrity. Monroe with his youthful charm and dynamic energy captivates the audience the entire 75 minutes. Monroe's IAMFAMOUS is a hysterical and heart felt performance portraying the rise and fall of one man's pursuit for fame.

"I wanted to create a truthful narrative to my new show," Marcus explains, "I love watching documentaries where you're pushing so hard for the underdog and I connect with that. IAMFAMOUS exposes my real life struggles as a juggler. There's such an odd stigma when people even hear the word 'juggler.' There's a lot more to it than just playing catch with yourself."

The London Theatre raves, "You probably think you've seen some impressive juggling at some stage, unless you have witnessed the genius of Marcus Monroe you can think again."

Tickets, priced at $20, can be purchased now for IAMFAMOUS by calling (212) 967-7555, www.joespub.com.

MARCUS MONROE was dubbed "The Rockstar of Jugglers" by The New York Press. He is the recipient of the prestigious Andy Kaufman Award and recently starred in the Laurence Olivier Award winning La Soirée. His film and television credits include "Get Your Act Together," "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Total Request Live," "Wisconsin Death Trip," "It's Kind of a Funny Story," "Switched!," and "Mad Science." He recently performed at the San Francisco Sketchfest where he was joined onstage and performed with Neil Patrick Harris. Marcus has also appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brighton Fringe Festival, the Southbank Center Winter Festival, and Bonnaroo.
