Mamma Rice Set for Spooky Halloween Celebration at 54 Below Tonight

The mind behind the critically acclaimed show "Mamma Rice and Friends" running monthly for two years at Public Assembly in Williamsburg, TONY's Critic pick of the week, Mamma Rice has spread to hosting events and performing in shows across the city for organizations like Housing Works and Folsum Street East.

Mamma Rice begins a mini residency at 54 Below-kicking off his run with a killer new show for Halloween! This is cabaret like you've never seen it before! Xavier Rice's last production of "Love Songs: And Other Bullshit" and "Spring Cleaning" sold out in September at The Duplex, and performed to a sold out house in July at 54 Below. A number critics pick by Time Out NY, Mamma Rice is guaranteed NOT to disappoint.

This month, the night before Halloween, Mamma Rice throws a killer cabaret--featuring music from Michael Jackson, Nina Simone, Marilyn Manson and Bette Midler just to name a few.

Xavier "Mamma" Rice hosts and sings along side 3 of the cities most talented back up singers and his gang of boys, Musical director and piano Marshall Keating (Cap 21 & Rock of Ages) Ben Levy on guitar (w/ The Lesser Ghost) and Logan Baldwin on drums (w/ Stationary Set) and special guests, zombies and monsters popping in throughout the night--this bound to be a fantastic evening that you don't wanna miss!!.

Mamma Rice's career highlights include appearing in Rent alongside American Idol runner up Justin Guarini, the title role in Sweeney Todd at the Fourth Wall Theater and appearing in Joey Murray (Broadway Dolls) The Hole along side recording artist Ari Gold. He has had the privilege of working with Grammy Award winner Javetta Steele and Academy Award Winner Michael Moore in The Awful Truth.
