Muse Match, an evening that seeks to answer the question, "What happens when 15 composers go on a musical theater-blind date with 15 singers?," will be presented Friday October 24 2014, at 11:30 PM at 54 Below.
Produced by Bill Coyne, all proceeds from the evening will go to The Trevor Project. Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.
"I have paired 15 composers with 15 singers they have never worked with," Coyne told us." On a musical theater blind-date the pairs discuss their strengths and weaknesses, passions, fears; the composers write a song specifically for and inspired by the singer; with the intention of reaching new artistic territory. For our 3rd installment, we are very happy to feature a past MuseMatch collaboration, featuring a killer Broadway performer. Stay Tuned!"
