Broadway veteran James Moye, currently starring as Sam Phillips in Million Dollar Quartet, will perform in "The Boogie in the Butt Benefit" concert Sunday, April 24 at 8pm at the Triad Theater. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).

"CCFA is a wonderful organization that deserves greater notoriety for providing education and support for patients and families affected by chronic intestinal diseases," Moye said. "These diseases are widespread, unpredictable and difficult to contain. We need to raise money for much-needed research, in order to detect the actual causes and someday find a cure."

The Boogie in the Butt Benefit will feature original tunes, along with pop, country, and rockabilly
covers. Joining Moye will be Million Dollar Quartet co-stars Eddie Clendening and Victoria Matlock, along with Eugene Gwozdz, Corey Kaiser, Carter McLean, Dan Mills and Kimberly Moye.
The Triad Theater is located at 158 West 72nd Street. Tickets are $20 and available online at
triadnyc.com.

Moye, along with several colleagues, have raised over $100,000 for Crohn's disease and Ulcerative
Colitis research and education this year. He will participate in an upcoming half marathon to further support CCFA and Camp Oasis.

"Jim will cross that finish line, knowing that he helped send children (with Crohn's disease and
ulcerative colitis) to Camp Oasis and create awareness for diseases that affect over 1.4 million Americans," said CCFA official Ashley Chandler. "We're very grateful for his contributions."
Moye, an original cast member of the Tony-nominated Million Dollar Quartet, replaced Hunter Foster as Sam Phillips in December, 2010. The smash-hit musical recreates the famed recording session in Memphis that united music legends Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

"I'm fortunate to be part of this amazing cast," said Moye. "We have revived the night of this memorable recording with the passion and energy that it richly deserves. You can feel the audience's excitement in every performance. There's a tremendous following for this music, and I'm privileged to be celebrating it."
