Luba Mason Joins Cabaret Cares Benefit 'Divapalooza' on 9/29

Cabaret Cares the ongoing cabaret series that benefits both Broadway Cares and Help Is On The Way Today continues on September 29th. The evening is entitled DIVAPALOOZA 11 DIVAS GONE WILD. DIVAPALOOZA is tribute to the great Divas of stage and screen but with one twist the cast are all men. Some of the best male performers from Broadway,Off Broadway and cabaret completer this evening of fun and laughs.The evening is also a birthday celebration for cabaret producer and founder of Cabaret Cares Joseph Macchia. Performing that night will be Broadway performers Robert Fowler(The Producers),Stacey Todd Holt(The Producers,Cry Baby),Jay Rogers,from Off Broadway Peter Mac(Judy and Me),Craig Lowry(Naked Boys Singing),from cabaret Aaron Lee Battle,Tom Gamblin,Daryl Glenn,John Schaefer,David Colbert,Lennie Watts,and more.
 
Joining this wonderfully talented line up is Broadway performer Luba Mason. Luba is the first female singer to perform in this very special night of cabaret.Ms. Mason has been seen on Broadway in How To Succeed in Business,Capeman,Chicago, and Jekyll and Hyde. She has also been seen around New York appearing in various cabaret venues such as Birdland,The Laurie Beechman Theatre,and a very successful run at The Metropolitan Room.
 
Cabaret Cares was founded in 2005 by cabaret producer Joseph Macchia to raise funds for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. In 2005 the series raised over $9000.00 . After a year hiatus and a move to the Laurie Beechman Theatre Mr. Macchia brought the series back this time raising funds for both Broadway Cares and Help Is On The Way Today. Help Is On The Way Today was founded by Mr. Macchia to help and assist children living with HIV and AIDS In New York City. The series went on to raise over $17,000 in 2008.
 
Cabaret Cares takes place at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe. Tickets are $25 and there is  a $15 food/drink minimum. To make reservations call 212-695-6909,doors open at 9p.m. show starts at 9:30p.m
