Liz Callaway Joins Cast of CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC at Birdland, 10/31

Composer/ lyricist Scott Evan Davis will present CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC, an evening of his songs, as part of Jim Caruso's Broadway to Birdland series on October 31st at 7:00PM. Yes, it is Halloween, but the show is early enough to allow time to get to parties after, and revelers can come in costume if they wish!

The cast features stars from both Broadway and cabaret including Liz Callaway, Thom Allison (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Stephanie Gibson Chase (The Adams Family), Joshua Dixon (National Tour of Freedom Train), Nicole Johndrow (star of the hit off-Broadway revue, Back in Pictures) Ellyn Marie Marsh (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Emily McNamara (host of Curtain Call at Splash), and MAC and BISTRO award winners, Natalie Douglas and Julie Reyburn, as well as Birdland's own William Blake and a very special guest star to be announced shortly. Brilliant musical director and arranger David Snyder comes to the show from the worlds of Broadway, Hollywood and Carnegie Hall.

Scott is also developing a musical based on this material. His songs can be funny, sad, angry, moving and sweet, often simultaneously. Most of the songs heard will be available soon on Scott's all-star, debut CD called, as you might have guessed, CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC, which will introduce the world to this talented new writer, but you can be there first. The evening promises to be a memorable, not to be missed event.
