Comedians Anna Roisman & Lauren Brickman share a dark past... musical theatre! These former broadway babies are dusting off their sheet music & inviting some of their favorite comedians to share war stories and sing songs as they revive roles from their musical theatre pasts! So, in case you missed their 4th grade production of The Music Man, now's the time to catch it. Anna, Lauren, and the Revival Show house band are excited to finally be on Broadway... almost....at Caroline's!
The Revival Show house band is Paolo C. Perez (Music Director, Piano), Derek Swink (Drums), and Max Ash (Bass).
This month the comedy duo will be joined by comedy legend, the lovable queen of mean, Lisa Lampanelli! Also joining the line up are Kiko & Tuna (Jon Wan & Hannah Solow), Emily Tarver (Orange is the New Black) and Frank DeCaro (The Daily Show with John Stewart) for an evening that celebrates DUETS! That's right, folks! The entire night will celebrate duets and have special surprise guests!
As a special treat guests of the show will be among the very first to see a special sneak peak of Lisa's new project: Losin' It! She will be sharing some hilarious and heartfelt stories, along with friends, following REVIVAL all for one ticket price!
Lisa Lampanelli has been obsessed with food for as long as she can remember. As a child, she ate butter by the stick, chowed down to please her Italian mother, and has lost and gained more than 372 pounds over the course of her life. But, you know what they say: when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. And, in Lisa's case, she spikes HER lemonade with humor, hilarious observations, and - most importantly - real, honest stories. Lisa Lampanelli'S new show LOSIN' IT is an intimate collection of those stories, curated and performed by Lisa and a few of her friends. Inspired by her work with the Moth, Lisa has created a heartfelt theatrical evening focusing on the problems of weight, body image, and "losin' it." Performed in the spirit of The Vagina Monologues and Love, Loss & What I Wore, Lisa and friends not only enchant audiences, but offer entertaining anecdotes about their own weight struggles
